Description: Data Transfer Solutions, LLC, (DTS) is headquartered out of Orlando, Florida. DTS is a federally recognized small business and a leader in Transportation Solutions, Asset Management, and Geographic Information Systems. DTS contact information: 3680 Avalon Park E. Blvd., Suite 200. Orlando, FL 32828. Phone: 407-382-5222www.dtsgis.comDTS utilizes a fleet of five vans with the following equipment for data collection:Applanix POS LV 420e V5 Navigation SystemThe POS LV system generates precise, robust positioning and orientation information for mobile data acquisition systems. The system combines all the advantages of GPS with those of inertial technology, to provide continuous and accurate data. By utilizing the POS LV system, data capture can be undertaken quickly and efficientlyIMU: Inertial Measurement Unit generates a true representation of vehicle motion in all three axes, producing continuous, accurate position and orientation information PCS: POS Computer System enables raw GPS data from as few as one satellite to be processed directly into the system, to compute accurate positional information in areas of intermittent, or no GPS reception GPS Receivers: Embedded GPS receivers provide heading aiding to supplement the inertial data GPS Antennas: Two GPS antennas generate raw observables dataSub-meter accuracy:The system is rated to get 0.3 m accuracy in the X,Y position and 0.5 m in the Z positionDistance Measuring Indicator (DMI)BEI 5000 Pulse Incremental EncoderAllows for collection of high resolution imagery at posted speeds. Throughout the collection process, the unprocessed data is sent to the DTS headquarters in Orlando where it is converted into processed imagery. Once processed, the DTS team extracts the asset data utilizing DTS' EarthShaper software. Each run was then reviewed by one of the DTS team members. During this time, each run of data was reviewed for point assets of ramps. During the extraction process, two control points were used, placed as close to each other as possible, to determine the most precise location of the ramps. Once each run is extracted, the ramp assets are exported. This creates a point/line shapefile and exports a chosen image for each asset from the DTS processed imagery.Once all runs are reviewed and extracted, the shapefiles are then merged together and projected into the geographic coordinate system that most accurately represents the data. Once the ramps are extracted, projected, and merged, the complete data undergoes DTS' quality assurance process. At least ten percent of the total asset features are reviewed by a team member who did not extract the asset. The quality assurance process reviews the location of the asset to make sure it is represented accurately and within three feet or less of the actual location. The attributes populated during the extraction process are also reviewed for accuracy. If the data does not pass the initial quality assurance test, it is revisited to most accurately represent the asset. After the QA process, the data is then imported to a file geodatabase with various domains established to ensure consistency. The extracted data shows that there are 1,109 ramps.
